The FOCR is run from Strangeways Research Laboratory in Cambridge.

The director of the study is Prof Bruce Ponder FRS, and the principal investigator and co-ordinator is Dr Paul Pharaoh, Cancer Research UK Senior Clinical Research Fellow, Cambridge.

Day to day running of the study is undertaken by Carole Pye, Family Interviewer and by Richard Hardy, Data Manager under the direction of Dr Pharoah.

A steering committee meets twice yearly to monitor progress and help guide the scientific research. The members of the committee are:

  • Prof Tim Bishop, Professor of Genetic Epidemiology, Leeds

  • Dr Simon Gayther, Senior lecturer in Translational Oncology, UCL London
