
Michelle joined EPIC as a PhD student in September 2011. She
is an MRC Clinical Training Research Fellow and works primarily from
the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology in London, under the supervision of
Prof Paul Foster.
She will be examining the eye and visual data from EPIC. Her
research focus is on glaucoma, the world's leading cause of
irreversible blindness, and on methods of glaucoma detection and
screening in the community.
Michelle obtained her medical degree from Guy's, Kings' & St.
Thomas' School of Medicine in 2002, and started working as an
ophthalmologist in London since 2004. She is a Member of the
Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
