Before coming to EPIC Larissa obtained her PhD in Biology (microbiology) at Saratov State Agricultural University, in Russia. She subsequently became assistant to the Head of Department and a member of the teaching staff.

Since coming to England in 2001 to marry her husband, Larissa has undertaken several laboratory roles prior to joining EPIC.
In her spare time she enjoys opera and her mischievous cat.
