Anthony Khawaja

Anthony is a Wellcome Trust funded PhD student with a background of ophthalmology training (largely at Moorefields Eye Hospital in London).  His interest is in examining the link between lifesyle and glaucome.

Glaucoma is a disease that affects eyesight, and is the second commonest cause of blindness worldwide.  The cause of glaucoma remains unknown, and treatment options limited.  Establishing if any aspects of diet or exercise are linked to glaucoma may help us to understand this condition, and potentially offer patients new ways of treating their condition.
