Andy first declared an ambition to join the food industry aged four.
Yet his best laid plans to become an eminent cheese-taster
were gently sidelined in favour of a career in music journalism,
progressing from cutting and pasting his own fanzines to a 15-year
stint as editor of urban street bible Hip-Hop Connection - the only rap
magazine to boast its own cookery column! An inveterate
recipe abuser and keen cook, he invariably spends weekends knocking up
sprawling bacchanalian feasts. He supplements his EPIC
button-pushing by scribbling for magazines like MOJO, Music Week and
Bonafide, while also running boutique record label Original Dope.
