We are an independent research charity, first established in Cambridge in 1905. The overarching theme of the research here is the identification of genetic and lifestyle determinants of common disease, and their application to prevention.

The Laboratories here have brought together researchers in epidemiology, molecular genetics, bioformatics, statistics and public health.
